About the Role
JSW Vijayanagar is looking for a dedicated and experienced safety professional. You will play a key role in planning, implementing and monitoring safety measures to prevent incidents, ensure compliance and build a strong safety culture across the project and site.

Key Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be expected to:
- Advise Project Management on planning and organizing measures to control personal injuries
- Advise on safety aspects in all job studies and carry out detailed Job Safety Analysis
- Carry out safety audits and inspections
- Check and evaluate the effectiveness of actions taken or proposed to prevent personal injuries
- Conduct project safety inspections to observe physical conditions, work practices and procedures, and advise on removing unsafe conditions and preventing unsafe actions by workers
- Advise on reporting and investigation of project incidents
- Investigate selected incidents and cases of industrial diseases and dangerous occurrences reportable under the Factories Rules
- Advise on maintaining records related to incidents, dangerous occurrences and industrial diseases
- Promote the setting up of Safety Committees and act as adviser and catalyst to them
- Organize campaigns, competitions and activities to maintain interest in safe work practices
- Design and conduct training and educational programs for injury prevention
- Provide expert opinion on safety aspects in modifications and expansion projects through the Management of Change (MOC) procedure
- Ensure statutory compliance, including periodic examination of lifting tools and tackles, pressure vessels and nucleonic gauge reports
