📋 Key Responsibilities
This is a high-impact leadership role with broad responsibilities spanning technical projects, strategy, and compliance. Selected candidates will be expected to:
- Lead technical energy reduction projects including VFD systems, efficient burners, low-NOx systems, and waste heat recovery
- Manage Fuel Gas Installations and their day-to-day operation
- Conduct baseline energy data mapping and feasibility studies
- Prepare DPR, ROI analysis, payback calculations, and techno-commercial justifications
- Evaluate vendors, OEMs, EPCs, consultants, and automation partners
- Ensure CAPEX proposal preparation, approvals, installation, and commissioning
- Review furnace efficiency, thermal losses, and combustion ratios
- Lead SPEED — JSW Sambalpur's flagship initiative for Sustainability Planning for Energy Efficiency and Decarbonization
- Drive plant energy conservation strategy and long-term sustainability roadmap
- Monitor plant-wide SEC KPIs across all major production units
- Plan and execute Net Zero Strategy and adoption of clean / renewable energy
- Manage budgeting and monitoring for utilities — gas, steam, power, and water
- Perform incident analysis, near-miss reporting, and HAZOP studies
- Drive digital energy initiatives such as SCADA and IIoT dashboards
- Coordinate with statutory and regulatory bodies for PAT, CBAM, and ISO compliance
